Travis Van Winkle, or TVW as he often called fans, was born on November 4, 1982 in Victorville, California to parents Sally (née Fitzgerald), of Irish and Polish descent, and Dutchman Charles Van Winkle.
Winkle grew up in Victorville for just two years before his parents moved to Oscoda, Michigan, where they spent six years before moving again to Peachtree City, Georgia in 1990. In Peachtree, TVW attended McIntosh High School. After graduating, he went to college but gave up his degree to pursue a career in Holywood.
Young Travis had enjoyed doing business from a young age, modeling for fashion brand Abercombie & Fitch. However, when he left college to move to Hollywood in 2002, Winkle had no prior acting experience. When Travis Van Winkle arrived in Los Angeles, he began cold reading classes two days later.
