Winkle grew up in Victorville for just two years before his parents moved to Oscoda, Michigan, where they spent six years before moving again to Peachtree City, Georgia in 1990. In Peachtree, TVW attended McIntosh High School. After graduating, he went to college but gave up his degree to pursue a career in Holywood.
