SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) A Somerset County family will soon have access to clean water, after going months without it, thanks to the help of some local companies and a nonprofit whose goal is to provide clean water access across the globe.

Officials say in November, the Godin family's water well stopped producing enough water due to drought conditions last summer.

The well was also caving in, forcing the Stoystown family of seven to drive about 20 minutes to get water for bathing their children and flushing their toilets.

That's where former Philadelphia Eagle's player Chris Long and his foundation stepped in, along with some help from local pump manufacturer "Xylem Watermark."
