Teen accused of burglarizing Tyrone convenience store, stealing $1K worth of vapes

BLAIR COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) Police say a Blair County teenager is facing charges after he allegedly burglarized a local convenience store and stole over $1,000 worth of vapes. Tyrone Borough police say officers were dispatched early Tuesday morning to the Tyrone Convenience Store, located along Columbia Ave., for reports of a possible burglary.

Authorities say a witness reported seeing a younger male standing outside the store, with the front window smashed.

Police say the suspect was then identified as a 16-year-old juvenile male, whom is known to police.

Authorities say surveillance video showed the teen breaking into the store and stealing approximately $1,100 worth of vapes.

Police say the teen was then taken into custody as he arrived to school.

Authorities say a total of 40 stolen vapes were recovered.

Police say the teen is facing a variety of charges, including burglary, criminal trespass and theft.
