How to Complete Down the Drain Triumph in Destiny 2
To complete the Down the Drain Triumph in Destiny 2, you need to defeat the three bosses that appear at the end of the Deep Dive activity.
Each Deep Dive is different and offers different bosses. The bosses you face rotate weekly, or quicker than that, which means the only way to complete the Down the Drain Triumph is to wait until the boss you need is available in the Deep Dive activity.
How to Defeat J4W-S, Wrathborn Servitor in Destiny 2
If you’re far enough along with the Season of the Deep “Into the Depths” quest, you’ll face and defeat J4W-S in the Operation Thunderbolt mission. For a detailed description of how to defeat J4W-S, I recommend reading my Operation Thunderbolt guide as I give specific tips and tricks that helped me defeat this unique Deep Dive boss.
When facing J4W-S, you’ll want to look out for the Exploding Shanks during the damage phase as well as the Solar heat blast from J4W-S that continuously drains your health. To avoid the Solar heat blast, all you need to do is be behind cover that blocks line of sight between you and J4W-S.
Take your time with the Servitor room and clear out the enemies when you can. Save your Super and Heavy Ammo for the damage phases and you’ll defeat J4W-S in no time.
How to Defeat Kudazad, Bound to Xivu Arath in Destiny 2
After completing the earlier parts of the Deep Dive and getting all the plants and flora for the Aquarium Vivarium Triumph, you’ll face Kudazad, Bound to Xivu Arath in the same room you faced J4W-S, Wrathborn Servitor.
To beat Kudazad, I recommend using a powerful Linear Fusion Rifle like the Taipan-4FR. Consistently landing Linear Fusion Rifle headshots is the easiest way to defeat Kudazad, Bound to Xivu Arath.
Kudazad has two health bars. After defeating the first one, three Drowned Orges will appear around the stage. Be careful as their laser attacks can easily kill you. Plus, there are still a lot of adds to watch out for. Take out the Ogres and you’re good to defeat the last health bar on Kudazad.
The last tip for defeating Kudazad is to watch out for their green ground attack. This attack will form around where you’re standing and blast you upward in a direction that can easily fling you off the map.
How to Defeat Kelgorath, Taken from Bones in Destiny 2
The third and final boss you need to defeat to get the Down the Drain Triumph is Kelgorath, Taken from Bones.
The key to defeating Kelgorath, Taken from Bones is to defeat the Taken adds first. If you focus your attention on Kelgorath or the objective between damage phases, the adds will overrun you and you’ll die and need to restart.
The Kelgorath, Taken from Bones fight isn’t a hard one — there’s three damage phases and in between one and two, you need to destroy the two Taken orbs on opposite sides of the arena. Again, I recommend clearing the adds as you do this so you don’t accidentally die.
You know the drill — use a Rocket Launcher (like the Cold Comfort God Roll) and your Super to quickly kill Kelgorath, Taken from Bones.
Once Kelgorath is dead, you’ll get the Down the Drain Triumph and be able to fight him again in the Deep Dives activity. Well done!
