CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa. — An SCI Houtzdale inmate who was in prison for of rape of a child on a Montgomery County conviction was found dead in his cell Thursday evening, according to a press release.
The press release states that Roberto Quevada, 79, was serving a 15-to-30-year sentence and has been at SCI Houtzdale since January 6, 2009.
Scott Klinefelter, superintendent of the State Correctional Institution at Houtzdale, reported that life-saving measures were performed on Quevada before EMS services arrived after he was found unresponsive in his cell.
According to the press release, PSP Clearfield will conduct an investigation and an official cause of death will be determined by the Clearfield County Coroner's Office.
