City authorities on Wednesday announced that Hassan S. Shoulars, 26, was charged with conspiracy to commit murder in connection with the shooting of Avent Holston,
Holston was fatally shot last Oct. 28, on the 300 block of West Kinney Street, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said.
The investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by the Essex County Prosecutor's Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force with assistance from the Newark Police, is active and ongoing.
